Based in the Netherlands Plas is working for Deloitte's Risk Services within the world class Security & Privacy department, building out the Security Services portfolio & Business Development. Previously Kees Plas was responsible for the Verizon Terremark portfolio and business development across various regions in EMEA. In this role he also represents Terremark as a spokesperson for its Security services in the market.
Previously, Kees worked for BT Global Services in various roles. Lastly he was responsible for the Business Development of BT’s full portfolio across the Benelux. Previously, Kees established and managed BT’s Security practice in the Benelux where he represented BT’s worldwide security services strategy and security portfolio. He was also responsible for business development and delivery of the BT portfolio in the area of business continuity , security & governance and the launch of new products and services within the region. He worked closely with large corporate clients, local and international organisations and both the Dutch and Belgian governments.
Before his current position, in 2006, he was responsible for the development of BT’s Managed Hosting portfolio, Application Services and E-business in the Benelux.
Prior to BT Kees worked several years for Telfort where he was also responsible for the development of prepaid mobile services. Before Telfort, he managed a specialized international technical support department in Gateway 2000, a large US based hardware manufacturer.
Kees Plas has more than 15 years experience in the ICT sector. He is CISSP and CISA certified and graduated at the University of Amsterdam. Kees is board member of the board for LSEC (Leuvens Excellence Consortium), and member of ISACA and ISC2. He also represented various organizations in national and international security organizations such as the ISF (Information Security Forum), I4 and ISSA (Information Systems Security Association).
