Thijs Bosschert

Thijs Bosschert is a Manager on the Enterprise Risk Services Security & Privacy team of Deloitte.

Bosschert brings extensive experience in information security and forensic investigations to this role. Before joining Deloitte Thijs was a Principal Consultant with the Forensic and Investigative Team at Verizon Business. He has held this role since August 2008. In this role, he was responsible for executing and manageing incident response and forensic investigations in the EMEA region.

From 2005 to July 2008 he was a forensic investigator at Fox-IT, a global company specializing in state-secret level encryption products and forensics. In this role Bosschert was responsible for performing high profile forensic IT investigations for various large international companies in the financial sector, as well as other sectors. This included reporting and presenting the outcome of the investigations and advising customers on preventive measures and follow-up actions post investigation. He was also involved in conducting IT security and social engineering audits and in addition worked on forensic innovation and research projects.

Prior to this, between 2003 and 2005, Bosschert worked at the outsourcing company OGD, during this time he performed various functions including coordinator, system administrator and Perl programmer. He also conducted internal and external IT security audits and was responsible for the design and training of a system administrator security course.

Bosschert holds various accreditations, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®), Giac Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP) and is a fully trained Private Investigator.
